Afghanistan Sights

Hazara children on steps

A small Hazara town in central Afghanistan watching a convoy of Afghan National Army soldiers passing through. The most interesting thing these kids had seen in years. Notice the piles that look like sand bags behind them are actually heaps of dried dung to be used as fuel in the coming winter.

Grain farmer and wife in field

Harvesting wheat is a tough business here.

Mud brick village and terraced fields

Tiny villages nestled in the midst of barren mountains.
